We are dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals with diverse abilities by helping them discover their voice and realize their dreams.

To do so, we:

  • Strive to provide comprehensive support system for challenging situations, including improving access and quality of life for those we serve
  • Transform lives by tailoring our services to individual's needs, including emotional, practical, and cultural
  • Continually educate to break stereotypes

Our History

Founded in 1969 as WAPADH (Whittier Area Parents' Association for the Developmentally Handicapped), we changed our name in 2015 to REACH (Resource for Education, Advocacy, Communication, and Housing). REACH is a private, non-profit organization that supports individuals with a variety of lifelong disabilities including Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Down’s syndrome and related medical and/or behavioral disorders.

Our history of achievements is the result of strong community and family support and an organizational culture that continually seeks to remove barriers and change the limiting cultural stereotypes long associated with this population.

REACH currently serves people in the Southeast Los Angeles, San Gabriel Valley, and North Orange County areas.
