REACH’s Commitment to Individuals with Disabilities

REACH has always been and will continue to be a strong advocate for individuals with disabilities, including those with autism. We are rooted in a person-first philosophy, recognizing the individuality, strengths, and rights of every person we support.

In light of recent national conversations and policy shifts, we want to reassure our community that REACH remains committed to providing respectful, person-centered services and advocating for equality, inclusion, and access to supports. Regardless of political changes, REACH will continue to stand up for the rights and dignity of the disability community. This commitment is at the heart of everything we do.

CALL TO ACTION ALERT!

Recognizing the Role of Direct Support Professionals act!

Many Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work multiple jobs just to make ends meet, and the cost of living can make things stressful. DSP work is skilled and meaningful, helping people live safe and fulfilling lives, yet wages often don’t reflect their value. That’s why NADSP is asking for your support.

A bill in Congress, the Recogning the Role of Direct Support Professionals Act (H.R. 6137 / S. 3211), would help officially recognize DSPs as professionals and support better wages over time. All are encouraged to take a few minutes to contact their Member of Congress and ask them to support this bill.
